We have received several e mails asking why we require registration on our site. The reasons are various, but most importantly, its to safeguard our users. Of course, it gives us a means to communicate with our fans through occasional newsletters or e mails, but we will never share your information with anyone outside our own business.
It is a requirement that you register in order to receive the free downloads. This is because we need to keep track of where the music is being used. We also have to account for the total number of downloads from the site (though they are free to you, they are not free for us to give away!)
At the moment, the activation of your account is carried out manually. This means that someone in the office needs to switch your account on, so sometimes there can be a short delay in getting you up and running. We use this system because our original site was attacked by spam mailers and identity spys who found a way through the old e mail activation system. Using the manual system, though very time consuming for us, means that we can check your e mail and ip address against the database of known spam and fraud sites to prevent these parasites from infesting our little community.
Rest assurred that your information is safe, you will not be bombarded with junk mail and if our newsletters or info mails are not for you, you can always opt out.

Wednesday 1st October saw the bands debut appearance at Golden Sands, Dawlish.
Talk about the best laid plans!! After adding a few finishing touches to the show, we were all set for the trip down to Dawlish for the bands first gig. We are, of course, mindful of the fuel costs involved in keeping a band on the road, especially one that carries the gear that we do. So we had put some effort into designing our van in such a way that we could all travel safely, comfortably and economically. So it came as a bit of a blow when we discovered that in the process of altering the interior, replacing the battery and generally making sure we had a strong reliable vehicle, someone had overlooked that we hadn't, in fact, taxed it!!! No names mentioned here but his initials are OGR!! With only a couple of hours to go before we had to have wheels rolling, Les & Jon managed to fit the contents of our Sprinter into 2 people carriers and a small trailer, Sammy was packed into one of the cars with the rest of the gear as there were no seats left!! and off we went. Its not really our place to say how well the show went, but the audience certainly seemed to approve of the mix of old and new country music, dancers were kept on the floor and judging from the roar at the end of the night, we think its safe to say the night was a huge success. From Devon we headed North to Surrey where we had to stop off for an OGR solo appearance before continuing on to Lisa Thurleys club at the Spirella Ballroom in Herts for our Friday show. Over 200 dancers packed the venue for what proved to be another resounding success. Dancers who have historically 'given up' trying to dance to fully live bands commented on the stability of the bands performance, and many were surprised to find that though 4CT are, without a doubt, a Country Band, Glenn's knowledge and experience of the global dance scene meant that the floor was never empty. Well done guys, this freight train is definately rolling!!

Due to an extreme lack of tickets sales for this years festival, it is with much regret I have cancelled the 2nd dancefloor and pulled out the main act The Jive Aces. Not wanting to cancel the entire event this is the only way we can still afford run without hitting my bank account too hard. However, with much thanks and huge support from my agents at NAM and the artists themselves the show will go on and still be an amazing day for all of you.
